Glossary
Throughout this help system, and the Virtual Box Office system in general, there are numerous terms in use that you may not have come across previously.
Event
|
An Event is a show or activity that you are selling or promoting through the system.

| Performance/Date |
A performance are one or more date and times that your event is occurring. Each Performance or Date can have individual pricing, fees, and other details.

| e-Ticket |
An e-Ticket is the PDF ticket that is emailed to your customers once the have successfully placed an order. An e-Ticket is also used as a Tax Invoice where required.

Door List
|
Door Lists are automatically generated downloadable files (in Excel, PDF or HTML format) that venues can use to validate entry into the event. This is ideal for venues where barcoded or other automated mechanisms are not available.

Wait List
|
A Wait List is a database that visitors or customers can join, or order to be informed when a particular event goes on sale.

Web Form
|
Web Forms are online "forms" that you can create to capture a variety of information - such as competitions, polls, contact details.
|
Inbound Number
|
Inbound numbers are 13, 1300, 1800 numbers that are provided to your company for marketing and sales purposes. Virtual Box Office can provide these numbers to approved customers.

Inbound Calls
|
Inbound Calls are the calls received to Inbound Numbers. These are recorded in real-time, and used for reporting purposes.

Comma Separated Values - a text-based export format that be imported by most popular financial and analytical packages, including Excel. |
